I don't know. Are there any spells you can do? Your question is very vague and suggests to me that you are looking to play with magic rather than gain a true understanding of the Craft. How are we to assess what you are capable of?

Magic should be used when all practical resources have been explored. You do not do magic for its own sake. It isn't a toy. Spells only work when you learn to focus your will. You have to thoroughly understand what you want to achieve and be able to visualise it. Magic is about the movement of energy. It takes discipline, dedication and wisdom. You will never "get magic to work" if you don't know even know what you want to do in the first place.

Magic should always be well thought out. Witches believe it is wrong to harm others by influencing them against their will. You need to think about how the energy you summon will affect others. There is no "nice stuff", any magic can have unexpected results if you are not careful. It can be quite dangerous if you don't take it seriously. The boyfriend you try to bewitch today could be the stalker you run away from tomorrow. If you do harm to another person, you may attract some bad karma or negative energy. Don't be tempted to mess with anything like ouija boards or seances. You don't know what you could be talking to.

If you really want to explore magic you need to start at the beginning. I suggest you read some books on psychic development. If you want to get results, try improving your perception by learning divination or how to read auras. Try "True Magick" by Amber K. or visit the Pagan Federation website for more info on witchcraft.

Blessed be

Spells are simple: A house blessing or a money spell are the MOST benevolent for a beginner. Either one would be a green candle and you standing there encouraging pleasant spirits to enter your life and house or area. Spirits of both mental change and unseen world to bring change will both enter when ask cosmic forces and mother earth to hear your plea and promise that such be an honerable one.

Do a spell of protection first to filter your welcomings of the spirit world of energies unseen. Easy and safe when have done protection spell before hand and meditated on "need but not greed" before writing on a piece of paper any needs of the moment fold nine times (that magick number).

Witches use 3's, 6's or 9's since near creation goddess #'s.

Then light a candle and ask for the things wrote on the paper. Moon should be brightening not darkening (since thats the ancient time for all to be increasing and we when asking are supposed to go with the tide.)

scent: If you cannot afford an incense or scented oil then Bathe beforehand with ANY sweet smelling herbs soaps or spices wished to get you in the right mood to perform.

Thats how to get magic to work alright.

The magic is not the spells you say, theclothes you wear, or the tools you use.

The real magic is the direction of your life force your ch'i, mana, prana, itaki, (whatever you choose to call it).

Direction of this energy is where the real magic happens.

Actually the power is inside of you....its how much you believe in magick...the power of your belief and the strength of your bond to learn about magick ,and use it in a powerful positive way....it takes a lot of hard work and a lot of dedication....but it is very rewarding...it has enhanced my life a lot, made my life much more peaceful and rewarding.....looking into a flame and asking for gudiance as you stare into the flame is one of my favorite ways to practice magick....

Get a deck of cards, an instruction video of card magic and practice in front of a mirror until you can't see yourself do the trick.

The main thing is practice, practice, practice.

Ummm....specifics might help. Magick works by enforcing your will to a certain task or quality. Its rare that you can change the lives of others, ESPECIALLY without their lucid consent.

I could help you if you are seriously interested in the craft only. If you want to use magick to play with, then you need other type of help that no Wiccan can give you.

"Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg, and howlet's wing,--
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble."

Seemed to work in Macbeth. But not nice stuff, obviously.

Magic doesn't work. It is all just mirrors or fake statements.
