On the 1st of February ,2007, the moon was almost full. The full moon occurred on the 2nd of Feb. Approaching full through full and then waning.

The moon was full on the 2nd, so it was waxing gibbous on the 1st, waning gibbous on the 3rd. By the 6th, it was still gibbous, but half way to the last quarter. I don't have a diagram but imagine a perfectly round moon, but with one side ground off a little flatter than the other.

I agree with what he said. New Moon on the 2nd. Waning gibbous afterward.
