Hey ladies, I haven't been able to see down there in quite some time and I have been struggling to keep it neatly groomed to say. Lately I have been thinking what do I care and who do I have to impress? Just wondering if anyone else ever gave up on the struggle? I know its a wierd question.

That is funny, I was sitting on the table at the doctors office the other day with the sheet on me and I looked at my husband and said "can you see that down there" and he looked at me like I was crazy! I just wanted to know if it was still there! I attempted to "groom" the other day, but I heard I did a really bad job. It's all fine with me though, if I cant reach it it's not worth messing with!!!!

I've resorted to using a mirror, and I'm only 26 weeks. I think that if it gets too bad, my fiance will just have to get a razor and take charge! (Some men actually find that getting involved in this act is a real turn on!) I'd get it waxed if I weren't so shy about having a stranger look at me down there, but when I think about it, the baby isn't gonna care if we're neatly groomed or not! He'll just want OUT!!!

Wierd question, HA, come on we're all pregnant or have been so we've been there done that and then some. :-)
Try using a mirror, even a electric trimmer could help. Or if all else fails have your hubby do it. By the last few weeks though it was the last thing on my mind, even afterwards for a week or two. I waited till the soreness was gone and decided it was time to neaten up.
Good luck!

I was weird. I never cared about it until I got pregnant. Suddenly I was worrying what the doctors would think about me having an unkempt nether-region. So I would do all kinds of crazy contortions to shave down there, only to regret it after I had the baby and it all started growing back in! LOL

Next time - the MOST I'll do is keep it trimmed back with a pair of scissors!

I'm 31 weeks pregnant, and for the past month or so my boyfriend shaves my legs for me once a week. He doesn't mind, I just get in the tub and holler when I'm ready! As for "down there", he said that he would help me if it bothered me that much. I didn't care until last week when I had to go to the doctor and felt like it looked like a jungle down there! I would say try using a handheld mirror, but if you're struggling, as for a little help! He might even enjoy assisting you!!

Oh, I ended up giving up after a horribly failed attempt by my husband to "help" me out. Let's just say that after the birth, when I could finally see what was going on down there, I was scared. Although I was still super sore and miserable, I took it upon myself to neaten up. I think I was able to take care of myself until about 30 weeks. I then asked him to help me about 32, and ended up losing enough blood in the process to never trust him with a sharp object near me again, lol. I had my son at 41 weeks, and 9 weeks of overgrowth, on a person that usually gets waxed, was too much. Oh, and about the waxing, I went to my wax lady at 21 weeks and due to increased sensitivity in that area, thought I was going to die. Please do not get waxed unless you have a high pain tolerance. I thought I could handle it because I've been doing it for 2 years regularly. No. I couldn't. It was terrible.

I never gave up on the struggle. I'm the type that always has to be nice and groomed lol! So when I can't see for myself anymore..my hubby takes over! He seems to get a big turn on from it lol! GOOD LUCK

Personally I let everything go during both pregnancies and sadly... After the last one I gave up completely.

If you are young, go to a salon and have someone do it for you...
I stopped dying my hair and everything... It can get messy being preggo and sometimes you don't recover if you don't keep up on yourself.

I am older now so it doesn't matter if I have a landing strip or not but if, like I said, you are still young. Keep up with it. It is good for your mental health and self esteem...

If you happen to have a C section... Make sure you wear a girdle to avoid the inevitable pooch you get afterward. and cocoa butter for the scars.

Good luck hon! Congratulations and God Bless!

I have given up for the most part! I can't see down there anymore and would rather be a little ungroomed then end up cutting myself! LOL. And I don't really care about having the sexy bare look when I feel as giant as a cow anyway! :)

You're right though...who do you have to impress? The doctors and nurses certainly won't mind!

I am a HUGE Fan of been clean and tidy down there. When I was pregnant, it was not only hard to see, but also to reach. I would sit in front of a mirror with my husbands mustach trimmer and buzz it. I don't think it's a strange question at all. Just get a hand held mirror. or sit in front of a mirror somehow and use that for visual.
