he loves watching movies, and i know he will sit through it? but is the content ok for a child that age? is there any bad language or anything like that?

you might have to cover his eyes if the creatures are scary to him, but it shouldn't be to bad.

This movie is not anything like the Narnia movie. You should read the book before making that decision.

I would check the movie theatres nearest to you and read on why it was rated PG because that will you an idea if you should take him to go see the movie.

I would not. the death is pretty tough for one that young.
