I have small asian looking (I'm not really asian!:D) eyes, and I'm looking for advice on how I should wear eyeliner, mascara, shadow, and anything else

I'm Asian and I have small eyes. So these are the things I usually do:

-Always curl my eyelashes before applying mascara because it will make my eyes look more "open"

-Use a volumizing mascara or the type that has fiber and mascara together. L'Oreal has a good mascara called Volume Shock that gives both length and volume.

-Use light colors for eyeshadows instead dark colors and stay away from the glitters. Glitters and dark colored eyeshadows actually make eyes look smaller.

I apply eyeshadows this way: I usually use 3 colors of the same group (for example brown, tan, and gold). I apply the medium color all over the eyelids, then the darkest one near the eyelashes, then the lightest one I use as a highlighter right under the outer half of the eyebrows.

For extra credit, I use a medium-sized shadow brush and a pinkish colored eyshadow to go back and forth in a windshield sweeping motion a bit above the eyelashes. It will give an illusion of bigger eyes.

For lining the eyes, don't line all top and bottom lashes. You can line top lashes and ignore the bottom half. If you choose to line bottom lashes, just line 1/2 way from the outer corner to the middle of your eyes. That way your eyes will look bigger instead of look like it's framed.

And don't just stick with black eyeliners, I found brown eyeliners making my eyes look bigger too. A bit of bronze or gold colored shadows on the outer edge of your eyes also look nice (like Beyonce' and Alicia Keys do).

I hope you will find the best way to do your makeup. And have fun!

Yep Thrice is right. Only use eyeliner on your outer lower lid, otherwise it will 'close your eyes in' and make them look smaller. White eyeliner on the lower lid is said to make eyes appear larger. A high volume mascara that gives good length would be good to invest in - Almay is good. For shadow, go for lighter shades like light pinks, gold, silver, white or anything as long as it isn't very dark, which will close your eyes in.

Good luck

For eyeliner don't line the entire length of lower lashes. Line from the outer edge only 1/2 way to the inner edge. The makes the eyes look larger.

i do not imagine you've small eyes, they're no longer sufficiently small to say "you've small eyes".in case you pick your eyes to look higher you should line the lashlines higher and reduce, and prepare a white eyeliner on your decrease water line. Then prepare your faveourite mascara on both lashes. The black liner will make your eyes look like you've wider open eyes, the white waterline will make your eye look higher and wakeful and the lashes will provide the phantasm that your eyes are higher. wish I helped :)

Do a smokey eye. Use dark grey shadow close to the lash line, and a neutral color on upper lid near brow. Use a black liner on inside of bottom eye. And use tons of black mascara.
Good luck
