I think he needs a change of scenary, and he'll be a good QB. There's not a man alive that would have been a huge success in Houston behind that line with only one legitimate weapon in Andre Johnson. His Comp % are high because he's always been forced to check out to the flats and throw short routes over the middle because of the rush he saw every single down, but the kid has the talent in my opinion to be a pretty good QB in the right situation.

I don't see how some teams aren't throwing 4th round picksat Houston for the chance to bring him in...He's better than several QBs starting in the NFL right now. Hell, if they are desperate to move him, I wouldn't mind seeing the Cowboys bring him in to compete with Tony Romo. A little competition brings out the best in players, and at least that way nobody is getting comfortable with themselves and we've got a solid backup either way...

well...it's hard to say how good Carr actually is

but I wouldn't want/expect him to join the Cowboys
"a little competition brings out the best in players"
not always
sometimes it destroys any confidence that player had
(especially if they just cost their team a playoff win)
not saying Romo didn't/isn't handling that well...but aside from the cap space Carr (as a backup) would take up, it just isn't a good idea

From what I have just read on the Texans website Carr might be a backup quarterback, Sage Rosenthal is going to be around, and the Texans might get Jake Plummer, Carr could have a run for the first spot. Carr is a good quarterback, but he folds under pressure.Houston has come a long way from the first season, but the offense, defense needs to improve.

I think the Texans will trade him. He will be sent somewhere like Detroit for an average player and a draft pick. What would hold back a possible trade is his sack total. He gets whipped around like a punching bag out on the field. I believe he does have talent, but what is keeping him from showing it is his team. If the Texans keep him and reload their offensive line, I think he could become an impact player for that team.

David Carr reminds me of guys like John Brodie, Archie Manning, David Krieg........all good QB's but on crappy teams with poorly player mangement. His best bet is a change of venue, get a decent running game and a defense. He was put in the position of having to win the game everytime.

With rumors of the Texans trying to get Jake Plummer, it would be unlikely for David Carr to remain there. I could see Carr going to Minnesota who is in need of a qb. Carr might actually do decently in Minnesota since they have a great offensive line and mostly rely on their running game on offensive.

Pray he gets an O-Line that knows how to block. We may truly never know if he could have been a good quarterback seeing how he's spent a good portion on the field on his back. But maybe he's one of the resilient ones who can overcome that and become decent with a change of scenery. If he leaves, I have him going to Detroit (if they don't draft Brady Quinn) or Miami (if they don't draft a QB or get Jake Plummer).

Cheers.

I really think he is talented but I feel Being in Houston is just destroying any credit he will get he needs a line to see his true potential.
