when animals(mamals) have sex why is it always the male behind the female not under like humans?

Because we are built funny and walk upright. Other animals that almost walk upright (monkeys, etc.) can have sex face to face.

depends on the animal, whales can actaully mate with the female out of the water. sloths mate upside down, and dogs actually er "connect" then stand tied so they can be but to but. they think its a left over from the time of wolves.
