I pray for it! It might be on BBC TV?

I don't think so! I'm a massive fan of red dwarf and I've been hearing rumours about the movie for 6 years now even some of the original cast have said in interviews that they've seen the script but can't find the backing. This is why they brought khoeshanki back into the later episodes because american audiences tend to only support movies with a love interest in them

I went to a Red Dwarf signing in Swindon last March and met the entire cast including Ed Bye.

Asked Chris Barrie, still the same response. They would like to but it depends on so many things. Also asked Ed Bye, who's a really decent bloke. He explained that everyone wants to do it, the script can be done and the BBC are willing to go with it, but the whole project depends on whether or not they can secure the funding.

An interesting point Chris Barrie made however, was that if there wasn't a film, the alternative is for a 9th series to be made.

Should have put the word 'ever' in there. It's been in the works for a long time but couldn't find financial backing, they received the go ahead again when Craig Charles was being Mr Popular in The Games but then when Hitchhikers didn't do as well at the box office as they'd have liked the financial backing was pulled again. Craig Charles' 'indiscretion' stuck another nail in the coffin too so its looking, much to my disappointment, unlikely.

check www.imdb.com, they have a page for it on there.

According to their website

http://www.reddwarf.co.uk/

Movie is in production being filmed in Australia. However they have been saying that for a while. I guess we will have to wait and see. I really do hope they have a movie. I love that show

They've been talking about it for years but honestly I don't think it will ever happen. I think the time has come and gone for it. Too bad though.

This rumour has been going round for years. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think it will ever happen.

No, they are looking too old now, and the format probably wouldn't work.
I am an immense fan though,

I highly doubt it now, its been too long, all the actors are getting too old, they would probably end up re-casting everyone and would ruin it totally.

Probably not and if they did it could never be as good as the series
