Not all spiders live in houses... but there are a few species who have decided to exploit this relatively new habitat. Wouldnt you rather live in an area protected from elements and predators? Well spiders are smart little buggers and they have figured out how to capitolize on our dwellings. Personally I look at it as a mutually beneficial arrangement.. spiders live in my house and eat all the really pesty critters, like moths, food bugs, mosquitos, centipedes, etc which are far more inconveinient that the spiders. The spiders dont bother me and I dont bother them.. if they get in my way outside they go.

The numbers of spiders which live outdoors outnumber those that live indoors by millions to one. You rarely see outdoor spiders, however, because they live among plants, in burrows etc rather than being easy to pick out on your magnolia wall paint.

Arachnids (spiders), which have 8 legs, are not insects. Insects have 6 legs.

Spiders prefer to live indoors in a warm climate where bugs can come to them and their webs act like pest strips to catch flying insects who try and come indoors where some bugs come into like in spring and summer with open windows, gaps in the screens and cracked open outside doors for air circulation

when you think of it spiders are nature's pest exterminators when it comes to insects

Spiders live wherever they can thrive and our homes provide food and shelter for certain types. Flies are even active in the winter and small ones often fly indoors for our indoor spiders to catch. If you have woodlice indoors, you can get the woodlice spider (not very attractive). The last couple of years we have masses of daddy long-legs spiders in our old house. They have very thin, long legs.

Spiders aren't insects. They eat insects. Invite them to dinner.I Spiders are real people.

Insects have six legs except in the Bible, which says flies have four legs.
