Since when is pro-life aligned with abstinence? Prevention of pregnancy is not the same as an abortion of a pregnancy.

I am pro-choice, but like many pro-lifers, I am offended by those who choose abortion as a means of birth control. There are many safe and effective means of birth control today, and they should be utilized for anyone having sex and are not wanting to become pregnant.

I wouldn't tell people that they have to practice abstinence but if they get pregnant they need to except the responsibility or have a surgery so that they can't have kids at all.

I'm sure there are plenty that don't. There are probably more pro-life people practicing abstinence than pro-choice because the pro-choice feel that if they do get pregnant it's their right to just go out and get an abortion.

I recently read a report on abstinence. Apparently no one really does it not did they ever.

It sounds like an honorable idea. but the Catholic priests are a good example of how well it is observed.

what does pro-life and abstinence have to do with one another? If you are pro life it does not mean that you necessarily believe that prevent conception is wrong, just that killing the resulting baby after conception is truly wrong and cheapens human life. Try again and maybe you will get it eventually.
