Do you think that Deckard has had Gaff's memories implanted in him and that's how Gaff always knows what he's thinking. Do you think he was one of the 6 replicants that escaped and was "reprogrammed". Do you know any scenes in the movie that show him having the red glowing eyes?

I believe its pretty conclusive that he is a replicant, just ask Ridley Scott. In a scene is his home talking to rachael you can see his red replicant eyes, he survives beat downs from the replicants, not worse for wear either, that would kill men, Gaff leaves an origami unicorn (deckard dreams of a unicorn) by his door at the end, how else would he have known, they aren't exactly friends and its not like men talk about the unicorn dreams with each other, Leon and Zhora are both shown to have blood.

Deckard does not have Gaff's memories. But Gaff does know what memories he has so Gaff would know what Deckard is thinking.

Now a days, it is pretty much accepted that Deckard was a replicant. This is due to the "Directors Cut" of Blade Runner becoming popular and interviews with Ridley Scott.

But before, the movie was left in such a way as to leave the question wide open

No, I never thought that Deckard was one of the replicants. In fact, in the scene at his apartment you can see he drips blood into the sink. So I think that proves that he was human. There are many other scenes that show how human he is compared to the replicants. It was always a nice theory that Deckard might be a replicant. But I believe the movie would not have been as good if he wasn't human.

Books are always better than movies. If you find yourself wanting to know something about "Blade Runner" that you can't find the answer to in the movie, try reading the book "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" (the book the movie was based on).
