Sometimes its the number, some times its an
event (like when a cutie calls him "sir"). Some
times people keep having "middle age crises"
for years.

Nobody does it the same way, and no, they
don't always involve Porches or 20 year old blondes.

By the way, more and more women complain
of similar age based depression, and not just
menopause. That is, as more and more women
base their identities around jobs, more and more
come to the conclusion half way through that
there isn't a lot to look forward to.

Those that are more based around family tend
to spread it out as events like children leaving home
happen over time.

Different men pick different ages. Some pick all of them. Every b-day. Personally I am dreading my 20th.

Anyway. The big numbers after are selected. Probably 40 most commonly, 30 next, 50 after that. and 107 least of all.

I had a mini-freak out when I turned 30 (and I am female). I traded in my family size 4 door sedan and bought a smaller vehicle with only 2 seats and a speaker box larger than my child. Do I regret it now, sometimes... hard to fit myself, my kid, groceries, dog food, etc into the vehicle, but boy, I sure can ROCK!

i freak out at losing 15 years of my sex life

its like the seasons

we get like 100,000 meals or so if we live to be old, might as well make em good ones and enjoy and savor them

i just had a $2 cheeseburger that was great, and 3 Guinness to subsidize it

same for sex I think

maybe 40,000 sexual encounters if we are lucky

There is nothing you can do to stop time, so why would men, or anyone for that matter freak out at any age?

I will be 44 in 2 weeks, and I am doing great. I like my age, and wisdom that I have learned over the years.

Not for me it was when I hit 50 that I realized everything was on the down hill side. After all it is half of a century.

I think aging throws most men and women into unecessary panic and depression. Age is really only a state of mind.

Aging sucks, but the older you get, the better you get at accepting "landmark" birth dates. I never thought I'd live to be 50, but by the time I got there, it was no big deal.
