Hey, I really like vampires but don't know as much about them as i would like to.
Are there any vampires in the UK?
Does anyone know a vampire or are one themselves?
Does anyone know how a vampire becomes a vampire, the real way, not just the myth...
If anyone can answer these questions I will be truly grateful.
Thanks everyone.

Thank you to nemsethcszardescu for giving me a proper answer. I have not heard of those ways of becoming. I have read the moth diaries by rachel klein and that was about vampires and explained a lot. You remind me much of that book. Thanks

I have studdied vampire lore for sometime, and Role play A vampire in my spare time I have also been called a Vampyre (( Human that believes he or she is a vampire, or who "sucks" the energy and/or blood of another )) Though I don't actually drink blood.

There are vampires in the UK as there are in most countries even countries seperated by time and oceans before sailing all had their own versions of vampires. As far as Vampyres are concerned London is one of the Hubs of Vampire/Vampyre Culture and you can find Several vampire covens there.

As far as Mythical vampires, one may become a vampire in several ways, some of them include, being a sinner in life, being burried improperly, being a witch in life, being bitten by a vampire, drinking the blood of a vampire, or any combination there of. The most common idea is that a vampire is born when a Vampire bites the victim, drinks their blood to the point of death and then gives the victim their own blood. As far as Vampyres are concerned, each coven has their own rituals and traditions of "becomming" though most Vampyres of this sort usually just decide that they are Vampyres and lead that lifestyle.

If you have further questions about Vampires the myth, or Vampyres the culture please feel free to email me at nemsethcszardescu@yahoo.com. I will be happy to answer any specific questions you have on the subject.

There are no real vampires. The legend surfaced and was started in Transylvainia during a rabies outbreak. Some side effects of the rabies were that the infected were: 1.Super sensitive to sunlight 2. Acted strangly and 3. Had the urge to drink human blood.

Vampires (sometimes vampyres) are mythological or folkloric creatures believed to be the re-animated corpses of human beings who subsist on human or animal blood. In folklore, the term usually refers to the blood-drinking humans of Eastern European legends, but it is often extended to cover similar legendary creatures from other regions and cultures. The characteristics of vampires vary widely between these different traditions. Some cultures also have stories of non-human vampires, including real animals such as bats, dogs, spiders, and mythical creatures such as the chupacabra.

Vampires are a frequent subject of fictional books and films, although fictional vampires are often attributed traits distinct from those of folkloric vampires.

The term vampire is also used to refer to mythical or fictional creatures that act as predatory parasites, draining power, energy, or life from unwilling victims. Creatures who act in this manner are often considered part of the vampire archetype, even if they do not consume blood.

Vampirism is the practice of drinking blood from a person or animal. In folklore and popular culture, the term refers to a belief that one can gain supernatural powers by drinking human blood. The historical practice of vampirism can generally be considered a more specific and less commonly occurring form of cannibalism. The consumption of another's blood (or flesh) has been used as a tactic of psychological warfare intended to terrorize the enemy, and can be used to reflect various spiritual beliefs.

In zoology and botany, the term vampirism is used in reference to leeches, mosquitos, mistletoe, vampire bats, and other organisms that subsist on the bodily fluids of others.

I am a Southern American Vampire, I let parents send me their unruly children c.o.d.I store them in the basement so I can have evening snacks of blood so I can stay home and watch my favorite TV shows.I allow them tv.and put some games down there.for them.

e mail me and i will fly to the U.K. and suck some of your blood and make you into a vampire.this service costs all you have in material possessions.
Yes theirs plenty of vampires in your country but I dont get along with them any longer.they came by for a party and completly drained some of my children.then I had to go out for dinner till my children got over them draining them of so much of their blood.

There are no "real" vampires. There are people who drink blood on occasion, but they are don't have any special supernatural abilities and sunlight or garlic have no affect on them. Actually, there are tribes in Africa that drink cow's blood occasionally as a source of protein (but once again...no supernatural abilities). Anyone who claims to be a "real vampire" (including supernatural abilities) is either lying or is delusional.

Vampires could be "real" if you wanted them to be. but in this case you want info on them. Why? Are you seeking to become one? Why you would want to i have no idea.

vampirism started in Africa. it is a blood disease that causes sensitivity to light. one of the things that is done to try to help is drinking others blood. i'm sure that you can now see how the whole myth of the vampire started.

it's a psychological thing, they suck the life out of people without anything to do with blood or wearing weird cloths or any of that nonsense, and have a good laugh looking at all the goth goofballs
