yeah I took a class once on war propaganda...you would have to show something that make americans think they are doing a brave, good thing...like the uncle sam poster "I want YOU!" makes it seem very personal. Or showing how the bad the enemy is, and making it seem like its people's duty to protect everyone from him (i.e. portraying them as monsters and the u.s. as superheroes.) Go to the wikipedia link below to see some examples!

I have to draw a picture that would persuade Americans to come & fight in World War 1 with England. Any ideas?

Nurse Edith Cavell http://www.edithcavell.org.uk/

That sets the stage for this project.

The “Germans” Austrian-Hungarian Empire was so ill in the idea of morality at the level of its generals and leaders.

The submarine warfare was although cruel, understandable as every ship that got to England, doomed the Germans, who by 1916 had enlisted the Turks and done everything possible to “win” a war without purpose.

Seems no country has ever been so “racist’ to want to conquer the cultures that shaped the western world, Germany was that and more. England had an Empire; Germany had a few useless colonies, not much. But Germany wanted “more” and thus WWI starts.
America had fought England just 100 years ago in the War of 1812. But Americans were still very “English” in literature, religion, culture, music, and such.

Sure we had German immigrants in the US, but Germans came as so they had a chance to just live free and eat, the English came as to well do better: have property, a farm, etc.
So the Germans are “Darth Vader’ and the English are the people of “The Empire”, so we need Jedi Knights!

Do not forget than many Americans are English, Welsh and Scottish! Who knows about the Irish: but that is another poster. I’d try such as the “Knights of the Round Table”, King Arthur, the “Crusades” and whatever; we have that “Zimmermann” telegraph? Well the one where the Kruats were planning to mess with America, etc.

I mean Hollywood gave us enough: those hinnies Germans with pointed helmets, and such looking as they just came from hell below, my grandfathers rather hated “the Hun’,
but they were Welsh and such. But to destroy England well equal with France: one country was our Mother the other provided support to free us? Easy: show that. Show that French woman in that painting in Le Revolution and with the Tri-Color flag of France! Lafitte “We are here”, worked. Show the Brits and French and what they gave to America.

Look at the reason why America came to fight in WW1. The sinking of the Lisutania is an obvious one. It was something they could no longer ignore.
What about a picture of an American with his back turned on the Somme, but the passengers of the Lisutania screaming in his ear.

why don't you ask the person who set this for you why they're asking students to exercise in PR for the sake of killing?

Did they ask you to do a picture that would help persuade people to be nicer to each other and not support huge massacres for the sake of ideology and money/resources?
