A blessing..and a curse too

I think in medicine and science, technology is a blessing. But in everyday life like banking and electronics, it's a curse because very few people have the knowledge base to understand it, or control it.

Mostly, its a blessing, but I think most would agree that cell phone use is just ridiculously out of hand.
I mean, I was always able to function with a normal land line and be sufficiently "in touch" with the world. Why the hell would I want to wear one on my hip 8 hrs or more a day?
And who wants to listen to some jerk yakking about his recent hemorrhoid surgery. Hey, keep it to yourself, jackass!
And people who insist on "multi-tasking" while driving down the interstate at 70 mph. Hang up the damn phone and drive, will ya?
I have yet to encounter the idiot who uses it in the toilet stall.....I'm wondering what my comment will be on that one...

i use hurricane lamps and a wood stove
i don't watch much tv and never answer the phone
