I have never found a mascara that doesn't clump for me. I prefer not to have black mascara - I like brown since I'm a redhead.
Cost is no matter if I could find one that does not clump. After 10 years of wearing make up, I still can't find one!!
What's the best?

+ I had this same problem until my sister told me to start brushing my lashes before putting on the mascara and now I never get clumps and it doesn't matter what kind of mascara I use just as long as I brush them before applying mascara.

You can buy a LASH BRUSH anywhere that sells makeup in your area.

I hope this helps..

I am SO there with ya! I seem to always be on the look out for a nice mascara and everytime I stray and try a new one, they SUCK. I have always gone back to Loreal. I know they have a few, I have like the Volumous before (I probably spelled that wrong) but the one I like the most is the Loreal Lash Out. I either use brown or black/brown. The very first time I get it and use it, I do tend to brush off a little of the excess on the side of the tube but then after week, it's good to go and the straight brush style seems to be the best. Hope this helps! I despise clumps too!!!

I also wear brown eyeliner, since my hair is very dark, and black makes my eyes look smaller than they are.

I have found the best clump free mascara for me is Cover Girl Lash Exact mascara in brown. The color is amazing and it actually doesn't clump at all! It is also pretty cheap and can be bought at drugstores :D

I love Lancome Definicils. It a great all around mascara and it comes in brown. Here's a trick: buy a clear mascara. I use Christian Dior - Dior Brow Gel (it has nice short wand). After putting on a couple coats of the borwn mascara, use the clear mascara ans wiggle it fron the base of your lashes to the top. This will declump your lashes. Also, make sure your wand is always clean, put the wand in a capful of eye makeup remover, then wash with soap & dry.

Covergirl lash exact
or it could be the way your applying it to your lashes
if it starts to clump, get a eyelash brush with no mascara on it and brush out the clumps, this usally works for me

I like L'Oreal's FeatherLash and Clinique's Naturally Glossy Mascara.

I always use a lash comb to remove clumps if I am applying more than 1 coat.

The other quick option is to use a clear mascara. (Max Factor or Maybelline Great Lash)

I haven't tried it myself, but I've heard that Covergirl's Lash Exact mascara does a great job of not clumping, & I've seen at the stores that it comes in brown.

Here's a link to it's website:

(^At that website, you can send them your old mascara you hate, & receive a free mascara from them!)

Mary Kay mascara is great! I love it! I have black...but they have brown too! It makes your lashes look thick and full, and best of all no clumps! You should try it, it really works! Good Luck!

loreal, maybeline, and covergirl have mascara's that dont clump. go to walgreens or cvs. ask an employee there for help in finding one. lash exact by covergirl is that doesnt clump. you wont need anything extra like a comb to get rid of clumps.

Try one of the mascaras with plastic brushes, Cover Girl, Max Factor and Rimmel make those. I have one from Rimmel (in black, but they do have brown too) it comes in a black with red tube. Costs about $6 and you can always return it if it does not doe job right (most mass merchandisers will accept returns on cosmetics, even opened ones.)
