Im sure he isnt gonna be as good as Orlando Pace, Jonathan Odgen or Chris Samuels....but can he be a bust like Gallery has been so far? Or does he fit somewhere in between? I dont follow the Big 10, or linemen. So someone give me a prediction on how Joe Thomas will pan out.....he is getting alot of hype.

Can Thomas possibly be as horrible as Gallery? No, Gallery is as worthless as an OL can get.

If you don't follow Big 10 football, how are you sure he won't be as good as those other guys?
While you may be right (those guys are Hall of Famers), Thomas will not be Robert Gallery. Gallery's game was that he just straight up mauled guys. He looked like a man-among-boys. We all know you can't do that in the NFL. Joe Thomas is much more talented as a pass and run blocker. He uses skill and technique, not just strength (as Gallery did). At worst, Thomas should be a solid starting LT for 10-12 years.

Really depends on whether or not Gallery can stay healthy, something he hasn't been for most of his career. The Patriots Offensive Line coach is one of the best in the league, if he can't turn it around for Gallery, depending on his health, then nobody probably can. I would say, just based on his career, that his chances are probably slim just to stay healthy, and if he doesn't work out, he won't last the season.
