Since you don't say what caused the marks, I'll start with the most mild method. Try lathering up a moisturing face soap like Dove on a soft cloth. Rub well, rinsing the cloth as needed and working the lather in until all the dirt is removed. Rinse with a damp cloth and buff with a soft, dry cloth. If the stain or mark leaves a "ghost image", take the damp cloth and dip it into some baking soda. Agitate the paste into the mar until it disappears then follow the instructions to rinse and buff. You can also use leather cleaners available at the shoe repair or Jubilee by SC Johnson wax ( use this on my leather furniture, purses and shoes for a great shine, removal of stains and scuffs and it protects the leather from future damage). Jubliee is found in the cleaning aisle at the discounters and drug stores.

try the hand air purifier "Goop". it truly is a citrus based air purifier. I restained a chair final week. have been given stain throughout each and every little thing. i attempted the Goop and it took off each and all the stains. placed some on and rub consistently until the stain disappears(2-5 minutes based).

Have you tried one of those Mr. Clean eraser sponges? Test it first in an inconspicuous area, but those work great on just about anything.
