The last episode did (as someone else mentioned) feel rushed. I get the feeling that they originally planned to stretch the plot out over an entire season, and since the season was cut short, they just sort of crammed everything they wanted to do into a single episode.
I liked the fact that they got Summer and Seth back together, but didn't like the idea of moving the family out of Newport and up to Northern California. The show is, after all, called "The O.C."
(If they had to move them, it would have been an inside joke to move them to Redondo Beach, where the show was _really_ filmed. ( See http://www.seeing-stars.com/OC )
Personally, I think the fourth season was weak compared to the previous three. The show would have been better off if it had ended at the end of the third season, left out Marissa's death, and just wrapped up the plotlines in the last episode so that both couples (Seth/Summer, Ryan/Marissa) lived "happily ever after".

They rushed a lot of things. I didn't know what the hell was going on in the first part when Julie is back together with Bullit and it didn't explain why till later, that was weird...
