Hi Ladies! I will be 29 weeks preggo with my first baby on Sunday. Everything with the pregnancy is going amazing. I have not had any complications and I am enjoying the belly (other than all the aches and pains and sleepless nights. LOL)

My question is - About 2 or 3 weeks ago, I noticed that I have lost sensation when I pee. It kinda just trickles out, and I have to listen to make sure I am done. I can push, and it comes out faster, but the sensation of actually peeing is gone.

Has this happened to anyone else? Do you regain feeling in the urethra once the baby is born?

Thanks in advance!!

The exact same thing happened to me. And when I would sneeze, cough or laugh hard, I would be uncontrollably. lol. It's kind of emabarassing, but funny now. It's because the baby is pushing on your bladder. And now I do have the sensation and control back!!! all the joys of being pregnant!!!!

Good luck with the baby!!!

Once in a blue moon the same thing happens to me, and I'm not pregnant. This is purely hypothesis, but you know how your arm call "fall asleep" and feel numb? It's caused by a brief cut-off of the blood flow. I suspect the same thing happens with the urethra - especially with a growing baby pressing down on everything in that area.

This has happend to me before... when i was about 22 weeks it felt like i had peed my pants... but i figured i would have known if i peed. i thought my water was leaking and i freaked out, turns out it was my bladder leaking and i had no idea, so yes you can lose that feeling while pregnant.
