My mother, my youngest daughter and I all suffer from the same problem. Each month during our cycle, we vomit, pass out, have very painful cramping and heavy flow. We are told there is nothing that can be done and we just need to try to alleviate the symptoms. We have tried Raspberry leaf teas, Ginger Ale, prescription Motrin, etc but nothing seems to help. This causes missed days from work and school not to mention the suffering.
Anyone else out there have any advice?

Low-dose and normal dose birth controls have been shown to be very effective in treating dysmenorrhoea. Extra potassium, clacium and zinc have also shown some benefits for some women when taken the week before and during your cycle. You could either take a supplement or eat some extra bananas for potassium, drink fortified soy milk (easier on your stomach) for calcium, and if not allergic eat nuts and more beans for zinc.
