looks best on short nails?

i'm probably going to paint them a cherry sort of shade that's a little darker than primary red... but what looks the best? i had a little breakage in the tips of my nails because i've been making earrings all week, so i trimmed them short.

it's the one called "fire, fire!"... this is my favorite red, 2 coats of it looks amazing... of course tit only comes in tiny bottles, though.

Use a natural base coat to help the breakage, then use your cherry red. Also, if you have short nails, don't paint the very sides of your nails. This makes them look longer.

The good thing about nail polish is that you can wear any color you want. But I found out with breakage that the darker colors or skin tone colors show up the breakage a lot more. I suggest bright red or shades of red a little darker, as it is not only pretty but hides the breakage a lot better.

Dark short nails are in this season. ex. OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark and Lincoln Park After Midnight (deep eggplant & an almost black eggplant)

If you want a dramatic red I recommend Essie's Swing Velvet, OPI's I'm Not Really a Waitress (cherry w/ hint of shimmer) or Edinburgundy (red wine).

For a soft neutral look: Essie's Sugar Daddy (soft sheer natural pink - a quick French manicure/buffed nails effect) or Buy Me a Cameo (a pearly easy to wear taupe).

Try a peachish-rose pink color, it looks good on short nails. Alo you couls try taking white nails polish andmaking a fine like on the tip of your nail and then letting it dry, next just paint over the whole nail in clear!

I always think that bright polish on short nails looks weird. Until they grow out, I'd just paint them clear, or maybe a light shade of pink.

I suggest Brizia or SOYA nail polish for short nails cause for some reason this certain color makes them really attractive.

I have always been partial to a "reserved" color on short nails, clear, or a pale pink...when they are long going back to a brighter color is good

for short nails, dark colors will just make them look shorter. go with a light color.

it depends do you want to draw attention to them?
if so i would paint them a bright color, a bright red, yellow or pink.or you could go super deep, deep purples or reds or even black. looks classy.
it you want them to be less noticable i would paint them a lighter shade of pink or a light orange.
hope you like! =]
