Too all those Gay Bashers out there
I class myself as a christian and gay! I accept you have your own views but don't expect everyone to agree with you.
If you don't try to push your values onto me I will not judge you for those beliefs, they are your beliefs no matter how much I dissagree with them.

One question
Why are you trying so hard to push your beliefs onto me? Is it that you think God will not love you if you don't. We don't become gay for fun, I did not wake up one morning and think "I know I will be Gay that will make my life easier!" No I didn't and if God hates it so my why would he make me this way? You must remember that the Bible is mans repersentation of Gods word, only a few men at that, SURELLY Gods work is more of a example of the word of God rather then a fews interpration of it.

What do you think?

My God loves me!

To your own self be true

on my right i have praying hands which says only god can judge me.
work on your relationship with god, its personal and special just as all of us are. no one is without sin, so let the judgers have there day on judgement day with god. we all have one coming sooner or later. god does answer prayers, cause my prayer of
asking to find love again, after my partner, daughter, and my only sister passed away weeks apart. god has granted me a beautiful woman to feel love again.
BE TRUE TO YOU, AND BE TRUE TO GOD.
its gods job to deal with the "perfected" ones, tho no one is perfect only jesus was, we all fall short of the glory of heaven and god. some need to be not so judgemental and look at themselves real good and hard.
keep the faith and keep the peace

First off if it comes out as if I'm bashing you it is not my intent. So now that's out of the way. Personally I don't have any problems with the gay community. I have a gay friend and I've never had a problem working with any of them. It's just their lifestyle that I don't approve of. Now before everyone starts saying that I'm wrong for thinking the way that I do just listen to my argument. I am Christian above anything else, now I'm not overly religious, but the bible does state that homosexuality is wrong. Now I have two choices 1) I can choose to follow what God says or 2) I can choose not to listen to God's word to please the homosexual community. Those who claim to be real Christians tend to go with option #1. Now I'm not saying gays are bad people, I know for a fact that I am far from perfect. Gays or just like straight folks, some good and some are bad. Its just I to go with what the Bible says.

Now if your an atheist, then obviously what God has to say means nothing to you. But for those of us you proclaim to be Christians, there's simply no excuse for you not to follow the word. I find it amazing that someone can read the word abomination and can try to justify why it doesn't mean homosexuality isn't wrong. The last time I checked that word wasn't a good thing.

I don't want it to seem like I'm just picking on gays, because there are lot of things in Bible that tells us what we shouldn't be doing. And we just try to change the words up to justify our actions. Everybody wants to believe in the Bible, until they see something the speaks of they are currently do. The right thing to do would be to stop what your doing, but people would rather change the meaning and then spread the lie, which confuses everyone. If that's the case your better off disregarding the Bible all together.

So I must ask you as well as everyone else, if you feel the Bible has been manipulated then why bother following it at all?

In the bible, the people who wrote it (NOT GOD) speak of it being against nature to have any sexual expression that does not end in offspring. I wonder how many good "Christians" here use condoms and birth control regularly or have sex when a woman isn't fertile or masturbate. At least what we're doing is out of love. Birth control (aside from trying to fight STD) is specifically designed to go against God's word.

God loves me and He knows I wasn't a mistake. I don't need a book or some bigot on a website to tell me what I do is wrong, because I was made in His light just like you. He gave me the capacity to love and that's what He wants from me. So if you want to say I'm not a Christian or that the original poster isn't a Christian, go ahead. Just remember that you're passing judgement and that is something that only God is allowed to do.

(Icon5050, that wasn't meant for you, but to the bashers and a few select people answering your question)

God loves you regardless...That's the wonderful thing about Him!!! I don't know if being gay is wrong because I know alot of people take the bible out of context. Anyway, it's none of their business to judge you! It's God's job. Next time someone tells you abunch of crap, tell them not to judge you because if they were a "good christian", they would know that they have no room to talk! I wish you all the luck for dealing with people like this. I also hope that people will stop treating gays like second class citizens! Gays should enjoy the same rights as everyone else. I'm straight but I notice how gays are just kind of "swept under the rug". I'm sorry that you have to deal with a society that discriminates against you and churches for that matter. If it is actually a sin, it's forgiven anyway!

Good for you. I am straight and I accept homosexuals. Several friends and relatives of mine are homosexual, and I see nothing wrong with that. They are all Christian. I hate it when people say that homosexuals are abhorrent in the eyes of God. THEY ARE PERFECTLY NORMAL PEOPLE. If they would actually READ the Bible, they would realize that God calls us to love ALL people, no matter what.

God wouldn't have made homosexuals if he didn't love them. Therefore, since there are homosexuals, we know that God must love them A LOT. Being gay is not a choice, and I see that.

I am in high school. Today, in my theology class, we discussed morality. In our textbook, there are several 'scenarios' based on true stories. One of them was a male police officer that was homosexual and wanted to be married. All but ONE person in the class started screaming, "EEWWW! THAT'S SO GROSS!", even the teacher. The one person that was not shouting this was me. They asked me if I was gay because I didn't find it appalling. Since I am straight, I answered no. They need to get the picture and realize the TRUE message of God about homosexuality: LOVE THEM THE SAME WAY YOU WISH TO BE LOVED: THEY ARE NORMAL PEOPLE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!!!

I agree with you. The Bible has been translated so many times that all but the original idea is gone. I can back this statement up with facts. I agree with the idea of the Bible. I think it's been twisted to suit the people who keep translating it. I don't think that he sees gay as the horrible sin that these people say he does. He made me this way. How could this be a sin when I was made this way. I hurt no one. Actually, I do my best to help people. Like I said it's the Idea and the general meaning of the Bible that I follow. And yes I call myself a christian.

It is true that God loves you. I am sorry for those who have been rude to you. They are not a good example of God's love. If anyone has ever said God hates gays and lesbians then they were wrong. He loves you very much. But He hates your sin. All throughout the Bible He talks of how it is unnatural for a man to lie with a man or a woman to lie with a woman. I assure you He did not make you gay. It is a personal choice, you are not born with it. As my old youth minister used to say, He made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!

I know God loves you, without a doubt, but He hates sin. Not just the sins that you commit, but the ones I commit and everybody else who's breathing. WHich let's you know no man is without sin. But the truth is God didn't make you to lay with a woman. I mean the Word is the my rock. I stand on it and believe in it, because it says that the scripture are God-breathed. I believe that God had the power to literally denounce a person if they tried to come against and change what He wanted in the WOrd for His people. You say you're a christian so seek the counsel of God and let Him let you know where you stand. We can't do a thing about it, but God can. LOVE is a higher power than any sin. Remember love covers a multitude of sin.

I agree with you about everything you are saying except one: that you are a Christian. Part of being a Christian is being a part of the church and believing and following its teachings. The Bible itself denounces homosexuality. The Christian church denounces homosexuality. So if you do not agree with that, then you are not really a Christian.

BUT-that is not to say that you can't be spiritual, religious, and a holy and moral person who has a real connection to God. I agree that Christianity misinterprets (or interprets too literally) many teachings and passages from holy prophets and from history. The religion has evolved to be a very different thing than what Jesus intended, in my opinion. So while I believe many things that Christians believe, I grew up a Christian, and I still go to church and enjoy worshipping in that atmosphere today--I don't classify myself as a Christian because I don't believe in certain Christian dogma.

RIGHT ON!!!
i too believe in a god who accepts anyone and everyone. forget their laws and morals and whatever. there should be no rules when it comes to unconditional love. personally i think christianity has been tainted in modern times by people looking to capitalize on compassion and put all these catches in it like 'god only loves you if youre a straight celibate non-cussing aryan virgin.'
no thank you!!
i'm all for gay christians, transgendered christians, or whatever.
it doesn't matter what skincolor you have, how old you are, what you have done or who you love.
god loves all of his children and he accepts EVERYONE.
good for you. <3
