That's just a crappy line from Love Story. Even Ryan O'Neil made fun of it in a subsequent movie when Barbara Streisand uttered it. He told her that was the dumbest thing he ever heard. I agree.

I completely disagree with that quote. To me Love is when you CAN say that you're sorry and truly mean it & work hard towards not reapeating the same mistakes. And yes it should apply to everyone you have some type of relationship with; your partner, friends, family...

I have never had to say "I'm sorry" more in my life since being involved in a relationship. Maybe thats because I actually care about him and about what he thinks.
