The first thing I would do is get in touch with the chamber of commerce there. I've listed the link below. I've found when moving they are a tremendous help with finding apartments, jobs, associations, social centers, etc.

I really would not move there in July -- it is the peak of tourism season down there and the place is an absolute zoo. I'd either go in April or wait till September. Moving there in July is going to easily make things five-times more difficult for you.

I spend alot of time there in the off-season and think that the Duck-Currituck area is one of the better places to live. Not as "touristy"; easy access to the grocery stores and services; less driving congestion; and more employment opportunities.

Sounds like you have a good nest egg built up for the move -- about $1,500 of that will go right into your deposit and first months rent however. Another $500 would make for a better comfort margin.

If you add what field of work you are looking into I'll try to add some more suggestions. Good luck! --Andy

properly, I moved to North Carolina final year and it rather is an outstanding place and that i like it here yet you're asking to be definitely set up with an place of abode and a job so all you're able to do is take place. those Southerners are rather superb human beings yet i do no longer understand of any of them that are going to do each and all of the artwork for you. the 1st subject i might advise you do is a splash study on the state and choose the place precisely you prefer to stay. Coastal, mountains, Triad section, etc. There are countless quite large cities here, Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Raleigh, Durham. do you want a city or u . s . a .? a impressive style of u . s . a . here yet your probabilities of looking artwork could be extra ideal in a city. so a techniques as looking a job, till you have some style of unique means, i do no longer understand of every physique that is going to hire you with out sitting down and interviewing you first so which you will could arrive and flow on a job seek. you're able to do a splash prognosis on your individual and make some judgements approximately the place you prefer to stay, etc. then you quite can initiate making some plans.
