How come a little bit ago an American asked if we thought it was time for the States to invade Canada, and his question was ok, I know cause I answered it, but a few days ago I asked if it's time for the world to invade the States and I got a Violation Notice E-mail, why is it ok for americans to ask this, but it's not ok for anyone else to ask, is it because Yahoo is American, and they don't want anyone bad mouthing their country, or are they insecrue because they know I'm right.

I don't think it's either one of your speculations. I agree with Pondlife ver 1.0. "Just some malicious idiot." It would be folly to try to understand why some of the violations are given. People report others just because they don't agree with them, & select from the "abuse" category something like--not a question not an answer, or whatever. You have the option of clicking on your email notice to dispute the validity of the violation. If you're dogged enough, it "might" work. I had an answer restored ONCE. I can't imagine how many reports these guys get. As for Canada, I've been there, have friends there, & would much rather live in Canada than here. I didn't read your question, but from what you say, no, it's not okay & it's not fair. However, I feel compelled to say this: Americans tend to act like they're bigger & stronger & better than anyone else. IN GENERAL. POO.

Its just some malicious idiot reporting you
incidentally, can I please ask EVERYONE to complain about Violations when they are not warranted.?
A lot of people have been deleted recently after working very hard to get up to a level where they can ask and answer unlimited.

If you get violated for something that is NOT even close to being offensive, please report it with the email header "harassment by another user" and state that you do not deserve this violation. Say that it is harassment and you want the matter investigated and the REPORTERS account suspended.

I will be reporting EVERY one from now on

Lets stop the mindless yobs destroying our work

Just one point though. If you deserve the Violation - take it on the chin !

You need to consider any possible response before you post something. And at that point it doesn't matter what nationality you are. This applies to the person that triggered your violent response as well.
We all may have different opinions, but we still remain a global community in which no one should act like the master of the evil, even though someone else may have done just exactly that.
Such a response needs to be reasonable, educationable, and diplomatic in terms to mellow down, and perhaps even reverse that violent opinion at the other end.
If we all responded the way you did, we'd be in a world of martial laws, global guerilla fights and imperialistic conflicts.
And obviously it isn't that way, so you and the person you responded to are making up a very tiny minority of our global community.
Sticking the nose in a good history book would have prevented such adolescent and narrow-minded opinions for both of you guys. So bury the joystick of your video game for now and dig up that old, yellowed history book.
Read on and see the light, guys!!!

Americans love Canada and Mexico. They are our neighbors. Hopefully that person was kidding. Yahoo should have reprimanded him also. There is enough fighting in the world without people on Yahoo Answers creating more.

you comprehend what? I did trust that David A. became going to win at the same time as Simon first all started calling it. yet now i'm no longer so positive. even notwithstanding David is particularly reliable at what he does, there's a much off probability that both he ought to slip-up interior the subsequent couple of weeks, or that some different person will develop their sport to one of those common that individuals will now no longer position all of their on David A. on my own. it really is in simple terms my opinion.

I don't know, but usually the people who give out those notices are wrong and it is probably based on reports that are made and they probably didn't get a report on their question. Sorry about that there are a lot of goofy people on here. I guess you know that though right?

No I think it just a matter of the moment when asking..who is on the clock at yahoo and who is doing their job. I don't think they want any talk of terriosim on here. It also depends on who violates you. I don't think yahoo even pays attention unless someone else reports you.

The world is werid..what can I say.

Are you living under the misapprehension that the world is fair?! Probably, though, it's just because one question got reported and the other didn't. Yawn.
