toshiba recordable dvd. tried 3 other dvds with no playback.

the likely fault is the play back format on the dvd.

what might have happened is you recored on - format, but the dvd player only play dvd & + format. OR VICE VERSA.

Look in the manual for the dvd player see the play back format, then see if the dvdr does that format, if it does then problem solved.

Hi

It is not the region as it would tell you. Could be the media disc you are using. Will it play back on the original dvd you recordedit on?

I see you posted this question more than once.

Your DVD is probably recorded in DVD-VR mode. Record in DVD-Video mode. DVD-Video mode is compatible with other DVD players while DVD-VR needs DVD-VR compatible players.
