I think it will be a girl. Lakesha would be an obvious winner, however, we'll have to see how well she does in the next rounds. Remember Mandisa was pretty strong out the gate too. I'm thinking it may be Sabrina or Melinda.

It will either be a guy, or a minority of either a guy or girl. Very rarely do you see reality shows pick the "same type" of person, i.e. Carrie Underwood, white, female, blonde. They like to spice it up a bit.

I think definitely a girl will win. My favorites are Lekisha and Melinda. I really hope Lekisha wins she touched my heart with her little girl. You're right about Mandisa though, I thought she would go all the way and she didn't. There's something about Sabrina I don't like. I don't know why. Maybe she's way too sure of herself. No humility or something. The guys I like are Chris and the guy that's wife had the baby while he was auditioning (can't remember his name).

I love milinda too but I don't think any human alive could beat Lakesha......she is just in a different league...Her heart is so obvious and face it, we are all rooting for her...she has been a single mom working at a bank..that is my idea of an idol, not someone who has had training all their life...so there is my bet, I wish that there could be more girls this year...
I liked mandesa alot too but she is no lakesha...and that to slight mandesa...great set of pipes but I can't say enough about her, they showed a clip of her on Imus in the mornig this AM...she is already a star...!!!!!

I defeintiely think it will be a girl because the winners seem to be a boy one year and a girl the next. I really do like Melinda but we shall see because you never know with AI?

It is going to be a girl the guys suck bad this year. Lakisha seems to be a favorite for right this moment ,but I am like you I think Melinda may be the next American Idol

Agree, the girls got it this time. I think it will come down to Lakisha vs Melinda, but Sabrina and Stephanie are really good too. Clearly Lakisha wants it the most.
