Mother of the bride dress is 3/4 length, chocolate brown color with detailing on lower part of skirt and on front of jacket that is dark tan. Was wondering what shoes would look best with this dress.....plain brown or something that would bring more color into the dress?

I would go with plain chocolate brown shoes. If you need more detail, bring it in by wearing glamorous jewellery or carry a beaded purse.

OR by being the mother of the bride, when doing your hair (by yourself or hair salon) wear a flower or feathers that goes good with your dress. But don't look more glamorous than the bride. Good luck and have a great day at your daughters wedding.

I believe that either beige or brown would be appropriate for the occasion. It is a old time saying that no one should look better than the Bride. (smile) I am sure which ever you choose your daughter will be very proud to have you there. Also, lets not forget the fact that your dress sounds very nice and I am sure you will look great no matter which shoes you were.

No, not brown. Since her dress is chocolate brown and 3/4 length, a dark shoe will make her legs look chunky. She wants to elongate the leg line, neutral, neutral, neutral, even a metallic neutral to dress it up. Oh, and congratulations:)

i would wear a shoe that matched the jscket. i think if you did a chocolate brown whoe, and the dress is chocolate brown, that would be a lot of brown! i would go with the tan to match the jacket

It really depends on the formality of the wedding, but I'd stick with closed toe heels that are also chocolate brown. It will lengthen the body. Generally, heels should not be lighter than the dress itself. Avoid straps, which can really shorten the legs. To dress them up find some heels that have a few sequins or beading but nothing to outlandish. Congratulations and have fun.

if the detail in the embellishment is alot.... then go with a plain brown shoe but if detail is small go with a shoe that has a combinationation of the colors in the dress...she'll look FAB!!

Plain brown... All the "fancy" is in the dress.

YOU HAVE A LOT OF ANSWERS AND CHOICES. I WOULD GO FOR BRONZE OR GOLD/BROWN SHOES AND FEWER DETAILS BECAUSE THE SKIRT IS ALREADY EMBELLISHED. HAVE FUN SHOPPING FOR SHOES.
