I work at a hotel front desk and my new boss had me try on the new uniform. It's a black skirt, white tuxedo top and a large black floppy bow tie. Does that seem too retro or ok?

Retro can look great. Get some retro accessories, like older fashion glasses, even if you don't need a perscription. Have some fun with it!!!

The big floppy bowtie is a bit over the top, the rest of it seems fine though. I mean who really loves their work uniform? Maybe give some input to your boss about anything that you are uncomfortable with on the uniform.

I would have to see it to tell you, sometimes that clean black and white look looks really nice, but I dont know about the bowtie.

its a little retro... but you could probably add some awesome jewelry and make it awesome!
