There are several studies that claim this, but it seems they are not medically recognised and I'm not sure they consider other factors about their test subjects. On the other hand some people recommend using a bra 24 hours a day to help with cysts. So who should we girls listen to?

Not at all. They're urban legend. Wear a bra if you want to, don't wear one if you want to. Up to you. But don't base the decision psuedo-science.

Not sure, there is no solid proof, yet. Most of the studies I've seen, seem to be pointing to women that are wearing a bra that is to small, or is otherwise squeezing, or putting too much pressure on your breasts, like some push-up styles do. The theory is that, over time, all that extra pressure damages the breast tissue and leaves it vunerable. Since the tissue is damaged, it cannot fight off the cancer as well as a healty breast could.

Do I beleive that wearing a bra will cause cancer, NO. However I did get rid of some of my tight-fitting ones, and limit the amount of time I spend in a push-up. Better safe than sorry!!
