My Dell Dimension 2400 (2002) Series [as old as she can be lol] only has a CD Rom. Could a DVD Rom be attached to it? And if I need to purchase the DVD Rom where could I purchase it other than with Dell?

You Can put a DVD rom on it, go to best buy or circuit city, they sell them separately.

your best bet would be to get an external dvd/rw drive that connects via usb. That way you can use it on any computer

Yes... Internal drive for $30, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827136108

Or... External drive for $70, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827136098

There are more but those are my picks.
