I'm taking a cruise to Alaska which leaves from Vancouver, but flights into Seattle are a lot cheaper than those into Vancouver.

Amtrak goes from Seattle to Vancouver, but it's not always the train, most often it's their thruway bus. Round trip is around $56. (train runs once a day each way, other times are bus). From the Train/Bus station in Vancouver, you could take the skytrain to Canada Place where most Cruises originate from.

As far as dedicated shuttle busses, they are a bit more expensive than Amtrak. Advantage is they go from the airport to the Cruise Ship Terminals. Cost is $83 round trip. Definitely the easiest all around way to do it. http://www.quickcoach.com/

It's pretty easy to get to Vancouver from Seattle. There are shuttle buses but I recommend taking the train which is a beautiful ride! You can take a bus (about $1.50) into the city of Seattle and hop on the Amtrak. If you don't want to bother with getting into the city there are shuttles from the airport to Vancouver but Seattle is well worth visiting. A few years ago, I flew into Seattle spent 3 days, took the train up to Vancouver, took a seaplane (a plane that takes off from the water) to Victoria, took a boat from Victoria to Seattle and flew back. It was an amazing trip.
