I'm an in the closet gay guy and my bestfriend is a guy..a HOT guy that i'm attracted to. I've been noticing for a while now that he kind of flirts with me and does things that a "normal" straight guy wouldn't necessarily do. We'll be at his house and be "wrestling" but its so obvious (at least i think it is) that he is flirting with me. It seems like he sends me subconcious messages but I'm too scared to find out if thats what they really are. I've sent him subconcious messages too and he doesn't seem to respond in a negative way but i'm not sure if thats because we are bestfriends or because he is actually attracted to me..Sometimes i feel so strongly that he is attracted to me and sometimes i don't. He has sex with girls we both do..i just want to try and figure out if he is also in the closet/bi/bi curious or anything? HELP!!! i hope i didn't confuse anyone!

Hey dude. I know exactly what you're going through. I went through the same thing with my best friend! I wish I could tell you that he was closeted too, and then we had this awesome relationship, but that wasn't the case.... it's possible that he just feels so comfortable around you that he's ok with pretending to be gay around you, or touching you. You wouldn't think that guys are ok with that, but most hetero life partners I've met all flirt on some level, if that makes sense. I wouldn't push it too hard... if he is closeted he'll come out in his own time and make his feelings known! Good luck!

The question is whether he knows that you are gay. If he does, then I would simply come out and ask him. Friends should be able to talk about stuff like that. If he doesn't know you are gay, then I suggest you come out so he knows, and say that some of the stuff he does makes you think he likes you. Tell him that if he values your friendship, then he might want to stop this kind of behavior or you might try to act on it. And you don't want to ruin the friendship. If he is interested, he will say something!

I'm bisexual and my straight friend was/is attracted to me. We've experienced some things but, not all...maybe he's curious...you should go drinking one time just you and him and see what happens!
