Lets see "With the second pick in the NFL Draft the detriot lions select WR from.... No No No! Conventional wisdom would point directly at OT Joe Thomas from wisconsin. The Lions cannot afford to select anyone else. It is inviting to pick Quinn due to the long term franchise player he is projected to become . Matt millen could shock us all and do the wrong thing. However, Thomas is the easy choice and skill players have not helped the Lions in the last few drafts. I do need to remind you of another big time OT from the big ten who went second ...Tony Mandrich who proved to be one of the biggest draft busts of all time when Green Bay picked in 2nd overall in 1989.

Jason Smith has to be the obvious choice. In my mock drafts I have Stafford and Smith one and two. The Rams have won just five games in two years. In this time frame there O-LINE allowed 95 sacks I know (Stafford and Sanchez fans) a QB is tantalizing due to the fact that Rams QBs have also thrown 47 INTs in this time fame but for goodness sakes anyone would throw interceptions when 275 lb defensive ends are living in your offensive backfield The Rams have to pick Jason Smith it is a no brainier. Smith goes to the Rams and Steven Jackson rushers for 1400 yards and 10 TDs.
