Monitor Brightness or something of the like.?

Hello,

I have a standard CRT monitor from the manufacturer Hyundai. The brightness or Contrast or whatever seems to be messed up and everything is appearing much darker than it actually is. I tried playing around with the Monitors menu but to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated.

It could be a few different things.

First, double check the cable. Move it around a bit, plug it in, unplug it... just play with it and see if you can get the brightness to come back.

If the cable and connections are fine, there are ways to adjust the brightness through the flyback capacitor but it is not something that you should attempt as there are extremely high voltages inside the monitor. But if you know a tv repairmen, they could do it for a small price.

There are some controls inside the monitor cover, yet you have to be very careful, trying not to touch anything else when connected.
