First, shut down Norton Anti virus because it will do is slow down your computer. The computer will run much faster. However, it sounds like there are several viruses on you computer. You probably should boot safe mode by pressing F8. This will display a menu of boot options. Choose Safe Mode with networking. Once you do this, click your account then download the selected programs and follow their instructions. These programs include Ad-Aware SE Personal, Avast Home Edition, and Zone alarm. All these are located at download.com and each one will give you help on getting rid of the known virus. The next thing that you should do after you updated the anti virus is to run them in safe mode. Zone alarm is a firewall, but it will prevent any more viruses accessing or enter your computer without your permission. Run the scans at least two time in same mode.

After you got rid of the virus, you should run the clean up utility to get rid of the restore points because they may have the virus inside them. To access it, right click on your main hard drive and select driver cleaner. It can also be located by following these instructions. I strongly recommend that you don't keep Nortan because it could be the main cause of the problem. The programs that I suggested are free and you won't be charged a dime for them.

1. Go to your start menu.
2. Click on all programs.
3. Locate accessories that is near the top a
4. System Tools
5. Click on Disk Cleaner.

Let it run and it will clean out files that you don't need anymore like cookies or any old files. To clean out the Restore Files, click on the advanced tab and you should see where you can get rid of the old restore files.

Then run a check disk to verify all the file data and filing system are okay. It will hopefully repair any damage caused by the virus. The final step is running the defragmenter disk tool, which will improve access time and speed. A lot of files become fragmented and corrupt if it has a virus or has not been defragmenter in a long time (is suggested that you run the defragmenter tool at least once a month.) It is also located in the same place as your Disk Cleaner that I just talked about.
You can also access these tools I mentioned by right clicking on your hard drive and clicking on the tool tab or else through the control panel.

Once you do this, you should be find. If the blue screen (also known as blue screen of death to many) appears, write down the error code. Then type in the code at microsoft.com and will give instructions on what is the problem and hopefully how to fix it. I strongly suggest that you get rid of Nortan because it could be the problem of all this mess. The programs that I suggested are free to keep and will not be of any charge so use them instead of Norton.

SCAN WITH SECURITY IN SAFE MODE. GET THE BUG, SPYWARE OR VIRUS OFF.SAFE MODE CAN GET TO THINGS BETTER. TRY THIS AGAIN AND IF YOU CAN'T YOU MAY HAVE TO PRESS F8 AND GET TO A BLACK SCREEN AND DO A DESTRUCTIVE SYSTEM RESTORE. THIS IS ODD, MAYBE SOMEONE ELSE KNOWS WHATS WRONG. HMMMM. CHECK OUT ALL OTHER OPTIONS INCLUDING YOU PC HELP DESK BEFORE DOING DESTRUCTIVE SYS. RESTORE CAUSE IT WIPES OUT 95 % OF EVERYTHING TO CLEAN IT.
