At different schools, the same sororities have different reps. You are just going to have figure out which rep is associated with which sorority at your school and go from there. That's the best advice I can give you. Example, the girl above who is a Phi Mu says their rep is respect and admiration, at my school its exactly the opposite (not to take anything away from Georgetown Phi Mu). I am in Sigma Pi, at my school I can honestly say our rep (overall) is not the best, I hear its better and worse at other schools. The problem is that some people mess it up for everyone. Find a sorority where they eliminate those people before they ever get in! Hope this helps, Good Luck!

Each sorority is different at different campuses. Ask around about each reputation, watch how they act in class, at parties, what groups are they involved in. Evaluate what you want to be seen as. When I chose my sorority I decided that I wanted a group of girls that were highly respected. We partied but we were not known for that. They were involved in campus ministry, cheerleading, yearbook... on and on. Their creed was focused on being a strong christians and being women of love honor and truth.

That's hard to answer without knowing which school you are in. Join one in which you like the other girls (you will be spending a lot of time with them) and which support you in any other goals you may have. Avoid any which seem determined jealous and determined to keep you from doing things like studying and participating in other activities, which will only help you in your future.
