According to an article in the New York Times, the International Atomic Energy Agency, a United Nations-sanctioned watchdog group, has reported that the Islamic Republic of Iran is moving ahead wtih plans to enrich more uranium, in spite of a Security Council resolution that threatened sanctions if the nation did not stop. Given the trouble that the United States has had in securing Iraq and the unpopularity of intervention in Iran, what steps do you think the U.S. should take to resolve this situation? Is there a diplomatic pathway or will crippling sanctions be neccessary? Can sanctions work when the price of oil is still very high? Is the answer a coordinated military strike? What do you think?

Get out, leave it alone, Laises faire!! Too many young men have died already. Too much money has been spent on bribes. This is a blackmail scheme designed to get the peaceful nations of the world to pay money, provide trade incentives or other forms of bribery.

Call their bluff.

(I am not a 'DOVE' but enough is enough!!)

I think America should stop engaging in illegal wars.. and start resepcting that other nations are much wealthier.. including Iran.. and start enjoying a piece of your own humble pie.. USA in 50 years as the global super-power.. has done NOTHING to abate hunger.. NOTHING to bring about world peace.. and USA has so many domestic issues.. like a seriously crooked legal system.. that at present I dont think USA has any right to start an military action ever again!!! no one is going ot support it now.. because of things like the Iraq war.. and even Anna Nicoles highly dubious judgment.. just proves to the rest of the world.. that in USA no one thinks straight an more.. and if they do .. they're not the ones making decisions..

So I think USA should enjoy your self made recession, enjoy paying off your own foreign debt ($7Trillion) and stop starting wars with other countries to steal their resources or favor Israel.. the world has paid a high enough price for your self-preservation.. and stop putting black men in prison!! its sickening!!

Things will only get worse with Iran with Bush as President who is evidently only concerned with keeping his wars going so he and his corrupt corporate cronies can reap off more war profits for themselves. -

When was the last time Bush did the right thing for America?

To get trust you have to give trust. If they say it's for energy and a better future for their citizens maybe we should believe them. I understand being preemptive but what a role model for the world would we be if we allowed other countries a chance to prove themselves.

The answer lies is our own nuclear arsenal. We merely need to launch them at the Persian targets.
