Of course, that's what the military does. I work on a base and its referred to as "we kill bad guys and break things". That's what they do.

World history records a great conflict between good and evil. In our own lives we have tough battles to fight with our own ridiculous inclinations. We are all warriors. We all have a place.
When the Children of Israel worshipped the Golden Calf, Moses threw down the Ten Commandments (broke them) and said, "Who is on the Lord's side?" The "warrior types" who sprang forward were from the tribe of Levi. In the aftermath, God commissioned Them to become the priests and servants of priests ("the Levites"), with the "dirty work" of showing the people the messy way (His own death) that God forgives people.
To be kind and wise, to do the right thing when traffic flow is going the opposite way, that takes the strength of a warrior. That's why we all need "the armor of God" (Ephesians 6), and the gifts of the Spirit, to find our place.

Well, as long as Bin Ladens, Saddams and Bushs and Hitlers exist in our world, then yes, we need true warriors ready to protect us.
I personally feel that is the purpose, in this country, of the volunteer military.
There are warriors who fight for causes too, I know...not fight in the since of shooting guns, but of taking up the cross and fighting for truth and goodness. I would hope there is a part of that in all of us.

no. not in society. this world is mean enough without the help of these people making it even worse. my neighbor is that way. my husband is too. wanting to jump people for looking at them or speaking. to me, it;s very annoying and embarrasing. i can't stand it. we have a big enough war going on without their help.
