The first thing you need to do is put together a demo tape. You want to do various character voices, read something classical and contemporary (a short paragraph) of each. Do research on "Voice acting". I included one website below. Good Luck!

Yes. This is very similar to acting and you pretty much go through the same screening process. You'll have to audition for an audio book studio.

The people who read for them ARE paid. You need to audition for it. I think it's very good work if you can get it, but difficult. You can hear an interesting story on the subject here:

If you went to your student library to read to kids or even old people,sort of like in the old radio shows it would Be a great way to spend time.Even better to get paid.Maybe do it in the mall and read for tips.
