For the most part, you can tell when someone has a fake tan, whether they got it in a salon or sprayed/rubbed it on. But I have seen some (even though obviously fake) tans that actually look great, especially in the summer. There are some products that work really nicely (not sure of the names, just know they look good when I see someone & know it's a spray on or lotion) & don't look awful. Also, the key to not looking like you visit the tanning salon every day is to only go maybe once every two weeks so that it looks more natural, and don't wear those goggles, so you look dark, orange or red everywhere else other than around your eyes. I think that's what makes you look funny! Also, because being in the sun or under bulbs excessively is not good for you if you are not wearing SPF, you want moisturize, moisturize, MOISTURIZE, especially your eyes!

I do not think it looks ridiculous. I like to go tanning about once a month so it looks natural. It brings out the best in my skin. However I must say that the people who go tanning every week look absolutely ridiculous. Orange skin just doesn't look natural.

I agree! Orange skin is really ugly. Ive only come across a couple of people for which the spray on fake tans look good. Unfortunately, I am not one of them. Even the expensive kind makes me orange. Would rather be my own white self!

I think it looks awful. I'm a natural redhead and I can't tan at all. People have told me to get a spray tan for summer, but then I would have orange skin and orange hair. I think I'd look ridiculous. Healthy white skin looks better than dyed orange skin or sun damaged tan skin. Here is an example of beautiful pale skin. If she got a spray tan, she'd look stupid.

The lotions that make you look orange & when you over tan & look way too dark or orange that looks bad! But Im pretty tan anyways & tan every now & then & Im not too dark or orange so how is that bad? I just do it to not look so pasty & dead. I like to look tan & healthy! It just depends on who you are & your natural skin color! Who doesnt want to look good & have a tan? So yall stop being haters:)

Only if they over tan, and have an orangy look. There's some people that tan that you would never even be able to tell.

not really. if you get a tan and it makes you look orange. then it ridiculous.

I do........if you can't get a real tan, or at least afford the best tanning stuff on the market, DONT DO IT.......
