We have given the British people everything they have, and yet they hate us. WHY? I was always taught not to bite the hand that feeds you. O well.

OK, here goes.. What ever some of you folks THINK you know about this subject, sit down a moment, cause ya don't know Jack s***! I was trying to be polite, but aparently some of you MMM (CRISTI) won't let me. Now, let me fill you in. I do a lot of online gaming. Tell me why it is whenever I enter a game full of British folks, they stop talking? They see that I'm an American. Before I come they won't shut up, as soon as I come in and talk, and they see that I'm an American, It's like the power went off. So before you jump in my garbage, please do some research. Thanks in advance. Besides, im not looking for people to insult my question, only if you can answer my question , please speak! If not please leave. Thank You in advance for your cooperation!

"Do they actually hate us that a lot?" No. The British who make relaxing of 9/11 not extra symbolize 60 million Britons, than those individuals who bankrolled the Provisional IRA for 25 years in a conflict that observed over 3,000 human beings from the two components of the sectarian divide, and human beings from neither section* murdered, symbolize 3 hundred million individuals. yet even previously then, there replaced into yet another concern with some fokkers bombing us with American help, lower back in WW2. All airplane in the Luftwaffe needed tetraethyl lead gasoline, the only agencies who ought to offer that have been American. meaning whilst German bombers have been targetting our cities in bombing raids that could finally end up killing 60,000 British civilians, and maiming many extra, they have been flying on American provided gasoline, from the likes of widely used Oil of latest Jersey. i'm no longer Anti-American, i'm professional-British.

The question you should ask is why does the rest of the world hate America?
As always the Americans think they are there providing for and helping everyone else never thinking forst if they are even welcome later on their help appreciated. I wonder what we have given the british to make them owe us/???????
This attitude is the same atittude making the rest of the world hate us.
And who said that we should have everyone do what we want and if they dont then they hate us?
Why are we so eager to make everyone like us, when we cant take care of ourselves? Look at New orleans. We are out helping other people yet our own people are suffering. And yet we criticize others.
I dont think the british owe us anything and as a matter of fact they dont even hate us. We are just trying to pick up a fight and an enemy like is our tradition.

The British people don't hate Americans - just those who arrogantly think they are a superior form of life and who bash those allies who have supported them in dubious battle. As for giving us Brits everything we have - we've paid back, with interest, both in money and our soldiers life's, anything we may have owed Uncle Sam. As for biting the hand that feeds you I suggest you look at where the inward investment to create new jobs in the USA is actually coming from.

I think it's kind of fashionable to hate americans right now. True that our government is doing some things that piss a lot of people off, but who are the english to hate us for it, what with "the sun never sets on the british empire"? It's true that the US is doing some uncool things, but it's also true that every country that was ever a world power has acted the same way. And it's silly to hate American citizens for being "fat" or what have you, just as well we could say that english and other european people smoke about a hundred times more heavily than we do, or that they don't shower, etc. there are a lot of stereotypes we could pull out to hate each other for, it's just plain silly.
british people say they hate americans because it's funny. at least that's why 90% of the people here do, it's ironic. As to normal people? i dunno, their portrayal in the media, the fact you voted george bush in. maybe despite being mostly white your culture is very different from an english one. and ****, and this was all a joke jesus why i did even reply.

Wake up, it's not just the Brits. It's everybody. US attitudes in business, culture and foreign policy come off way too self-centered to most people not from the US. After a while it becomes loud mouth boorish behaviour. Ya'll share the planert. Ya don't own it.

One must first determine whether British people hate us Americans. To do that, you must take a statistically valid survey of British people. You must also clarify whether you mean all British people, or some British people, then more closely define "us Americans," to determine whether you mean "all Americans" or some Americans.
Only after you've done that, can your question be addressed.

I think we have a healthy give take relationship with Britain. Think of them as our big brother, and we got into a fight with them way back win and won, and have been brotherly allies ever since. They dont hate us, and we dont hate them. A lot of people in a lot of different countries hate America. Some of them live in Britain, but most of them like America or dont really care.

Wow....we Americans have given British people EVERYTHING they have???? Wow......and since when do they hate us??? They may not like certain behaviors Americans have which MANY countries hate about America, not just Britian.
I wouldn't generalize like that.

It's the little things. The way we Americans pronounce words like "banana", end words in "ize" instead of "ise", call mathematics "math" and not "maths", and the fact that we actually debate about things like "Should we teach 'A big invisible man did it' in biology class?"

A lot of it has to do with the president and foreign policy; a lot of it also has to do with the image of obnoxious Americans who think that the US and the "American way" is best.
It could also have to do with attitudes like "We have given the British people everything they have".
