I think, in general, English-style players are more about effort, and French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and South American players are more about talent, but the best players have both... I think the biggest example of talent over effort is Van Nistelroy, and the best example of effort over talent is Brian McBride

Brazilian players have the most talent followed by German, Argentinian, Italian, Spanish and Portugese and French. Eg Ronaldinho's amazing skills, Pele, Cannavaro's amazing defending, Diego Maradonna, Zidane, Platini, Cristiano etc. Even African player are quite talented like Okocha, Etoo, Roger Milla etc.Players like Figo, Lampard, (few English players), Terry, Carragher especially are really hardworking. Not that they don't have talent but their hard working qualities are amazing. Pls once again if u don't mind-10 points.

Skill: give it to Brazil & Argentina (can't list them all, but the most famous will be Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Riquelme, Saviola, Messi etc) Others like; C. Ronaldo, Raul Gonzalez, Sunday Oliseh; also fit in this category
Hard work: a lot: Lampard, Gerard, Drogba, Diarra, Park Ji Sung
Both: Eto'o, Rooney, Owen H., Deco, J. Okocha

Best talent with least work I've seen is on Zidane.
Hard worker is Zambrotta for me.
