There are many things that go on in court rooms that the public is not privy to...but I will lean towards the judge sympathizing, instead of empathizing, over the fact that the baby and Nicole's estate are being ridiculously fought over...and for what? Did these people care enough while she was alive? I think it is all about the notoriety and money for most. The judge should have excused himself from the case- he got too emotionally involved (even though I think the ruling was correct).

I think the reality of the whole case finally hit home ; and the realiziation that he could not please everyone no matter what he his intentions were . All along , he treated Anna's grieving common-law husband with utter disrespect while he pandered to "mommy dearest" . When all the evidence was in - anyone could see how Virgie lied under oath . Maybe his ego was a little bruised when he realized how wrong he was .Luckily , and thankfully he did not award Anna to the abusive mother - and her last wishes to be buried in the Bahamas with her son will be fullfilled .

right here in CA, judges are held to a a lot greater widely used of habit of their courtrooms, meaning behaving like "decide Judy" Sheindlin(a recommend attitude 24/7) or like decide Lance Ito whilst he presided over O.J. Simpson's homicide trial... If the Anna Nicole case decide had acted like he did in CA incredibly of FL, he might've been very nearly at latest DISBARRED by potential of the administrative Justice if the State splendid court docket for "habit unbecoming a judicial officer of the State of CA in/for the County of(fill in county call right here)"... JMO...

I heard on the news that he had been trying to get his own Judge Judy like show and he thought if he put on some ridiculous performance he would be more likely to get a show.

Because he doesn't want people to hold attention to how setup he was with Howard K. Stern. He wanted people to pay attention on his nonsense, while him from the outside, rules and manages the hearings on Stern's favor, but most people can't see this because they lack of legal's knowledge or are too naive.

Probably a bit of both. It was an over wellming case to decide. I think legally she should have been given to her mother and buried in Texas though.

It's because the judge, like most other judges, is a lunatic. You can hear it in his words. It was all about him.

Who knows. That whole thing was weird. I think he probably had a collection of all of Anna's porn so he felt a special connection with her.

I think he has his own issues. He was very unprofessional about the whole thing. He should have decided that case in a day.
