Manchester United was the first English side to win the UEFA European Cup. the Red Devils beat SL Benfica 4-1 after extra time with two of the goals scored by Bobby Charlton. the final was played at the Wembley Stadium, London on 29 May 1968.

I thought everyone knew it was Man U wembley 1968 4-1 AET against Benfica,Celtic having won it the year before 2-1 against Inter Milan in Lisbon.Liverpool never won it til sometime in the seventies.
