Hi, its me again and I would appreciate some "non-partisan" input to this question.

First, define what you believe to be equity, in the context of society, politics and economics.

As part of your sumation, it would be interesting to note your feelings as to what philosophic system of governance (Federalism, socialism, democracy, etc) you feel most closely approaches the goal of achieving social, political and economic equity in a nation?

Take your time to give this some thought and use enough space to fully support your ideas. Please try to address each one, social, political and economic in your responses.

Again, I am not a student and this is not a term paper...just a concerned and interested citizen.

Some good responses are coming in. Don't assume an agenda in the question though. "Equity" was a common thread of what many felt, on another question, to be very important in the areas of society, politics and economics. I am trying to narrow down what people think this "equity" is that people think is so important. And, if it is a valid concept in the area of social, political and economic fields, where does this "equity" come from and how is it to be "guaranteed" if society, politics and economics are to be benefited.

HAHAHA! It sure reads like an assignment for a Term Paper !

I am a very Partisan individual, but I'll give a short answer.

The Constitution, and the Supreme Court is the Guarantor of equity in our Nation, I don't know about others.

Equity would mean that everyone has equal opportunity to succeed. The playing field is opened to everyone to play, no one has a special treatment, but is allowed to try, and fail until they succeed.

I am a Fiscally, and Morally Conservative Republican,(You know a Far Right Christian Fanatic.), so I believe in a Government that gives as little Power to the Federal Government as Possible, and as much Power to the States, and the People as Possible.

"Who is the "guarantor" of social, political and economic equity in a nation?"

Such a entity does not exist. It is not stated in the Constitution or the laws of the nation. Where did you ever get the idea it should?

Equity is something you develop. Now equality, which is probably the word you are looking for to an extent is guaranteed by the Constitution. Nowhere am I guaranteed to be the social, political, or economic equal of anyone.

There is only one objective definition of equity and that is equal treatment under the law. There is only one objective definition of equality and that is equality in liberty. All wealth is created - for there to be a guaranteed minimum level of income of wealth would require that someone else create it. That is not equality. It is slavery.

You are certianly an arrogant little boy. There is no such thing as the equity you describe, and no such guarantor, nor should there be.
