It's hard to track construction workers. Some get paid at the end of each day, and ALOT of them get paid under the table. Most mexis in that proffesion are here ILLEGALLY so hence........Crocked bosses hire criminals.

The reason why there are more Mexicans in construction is because we take the jobs which Americans are to lazy to take. It seems to me most Americans prefer the easy way out and take jobs that are less difficult.
And i have to disagree with most people's answer. I live in New Jersey and Mexicans who work in construction are educated and speak English very well. Americana's please stop watching too much TV.

well most Mexicans don't have any education and most of them are illegal. mexicans aren't really good in stuff like math, science, history and stuff. they good for fighting and labor thats mostly all. also Mexicans r known to lie, cheat, and steal. so it makes it hard for them to find a job having no education and a bad history. so most of them end up doing construction, selling drugs, picking strawberry's, working in sweatshops, mowing lawns, being janitors, picking up garbage, cleaning toilets, and mostly stealing people's stuff. if u ever hire a Mexican to do something u should get a background check because u never know what they might do to u. also they don't speak English that much. yo no hablo ingles. and most of them wanna be like gangster and stuff, but there just a bunch of wangsters.

b/c it doesn't require much education. some program on cbs did a clip on this topic, or a smiilar one, how in the southwest, the majority pop is latino and not white. since construction doesn't require education, but pays well, but you have to work really hard b/c it's physically challening, most mexicans who are illegal immigrants will opt for this job b/c it's one the rare jobs u can get that pays well for illegal immigrants. it's also why a lot of mexicans are working in factories and sweatshps around america.

they generally dont have the education a typical american does AND they generally dont speak english as well as us so that limits the job fields available to them

Who knows and who cares, really. Not something I ponder in my everyday life. I guess I could ponder why there are so many Indian doctors but that would be kind of pointless.

they are very hard workers for the most part and they are willing to dwork jobs whites and blacks think they are too good to do.
