I was very surprised to learn a married friend of mine has never used any toys with or without her husband.... makes me wonder what else she doesn't do... How is it possible for a grown, married woman to not have???

I have had toys for years..and the additional comment you put...my mom bought me my first toy when I was 14....Some familys hind sexual contents from kids but then that just makes them more willing to find it out elsewhere.

Alot of women, mainly the older generations, have been taught that masturbation, sex and toys are nasty, dirty and wrong. And even today, still alot of the younger generations (mainly those girls from a hardcore chirstian family) think the same.

Mothers don't feel "comfortable" talking about these things to their daughters, in fear that they will become wh*ers (not true) So if you are a mother, be open and frank with your kids. If you are a married woman who thinks sex toys are nasty and dirty, just try a small vibe and then you can say they are dirty. You never know until you try,.

Well, there are some men who have hang ups with toys, feeling insecure, etc. It's insane to me, but hey...I can't control the mental state of society. Some women never experiment with anything like that due to lack of confidence and comfort with themselves. If she's been made to feel awkward if ever having asked about toys or masturbation for that matter, she will shy away from it. In time, with the right person and the proper openness, she could change but it's completely up to her.

It's possible. I've never had a desire to use "toys" - although, that didn't stop me from having plenty of sexual experience. Live grown men have been MY toys. To all their own.

Very!! I am one of them, ha ha. Its enbarrassing but I have always been embarrassed with the thought of toys. I don't know I think it was the way I was raised...my mom never talked to me about anything like sex...so in my mind its wrong. I know that it isn't but in the back of my mind it is. I am very shy about sex and I hate being that way..so that maybe why.

I don't know... Toys do make things interesting... They're not for every time, but they are interesting for SOME times.

Shoot. All kinds of things are fun. Things start to get monotonous in the bedroom unless you do something thing make it more interesting.

Men who get bored sometimes stray...

Then again, she may have a husband who is totally opposed to "outside influences" in the bedroom.

... It's a BAD thing to let your sex life with your spouse get dull...

some people are afraid of them.maybe she thinks its wrong to use them.you could explain them to her and maybe she wont think that they are threatening to use.my husband and I use them ..love um.When we first started to use them Ill admit I was intimidated.Tell her to start off small to get used to ,and eventually shell want more power,Believe me,but, dont condemn her if she dont go for it ,it should be between her and her husband,to decide.

Yeah, it's possible. Maybe she's not into that or she's embarrassed, shy to even bring up that sorta thing with her hubby.
