All of us that read the articles and watch the tabloid shows heve driven her to this. All of the people that dont know her making characther judfgements based on pictures and second hand information, all the people who used to talk about how beautiful and talented she is who are now bad mouthing her every move...
Craig Ferguson was right on point when he said that this is a young woman who has a serious problem. She is a mother and has children to think about, she is going thru a very public end to a relationship that she had to defend from their first date.
Did you ever think that maybe we need to leave the poor girl alon so that she can get better? Oh wait, i forgot, we as americans enjoy seeing people with money suffer.
I personally hope that she gets the help that she so very obviously needs.

Did you see her doing drugs? i am not saying that she didnt but we have no proof that she has and even if she has IT IS NONE OF OUR BUISNESS
we didnt encourage her to marry kevin federline, but do you know him to make that judgement or are you basing you opinion on tabloids who's job it is to make celebrities look bad?

The public will not be Britney's scapegoat. Everyone has free will and she has chosen her path and it is a rocky one but famous people have to know that people are watching there every move and they will be criticized in the public eye. She needs to be stronger and not let the whatever she is going through get the best of her. I am not worried about her but I am worried about the children because they need their mother. You say maybe we need to leave her alone but we do not work at the magazines that pay people to chase her and stalk her every move. People who buy the magazine are partially to blame. I personally do not buy those magazines and I don't really care to keep up with famous people but she is currently the hot topic on all news shows. She might be depressed but no one made her act a fool in public. She is a grown woman that makes her own decisions whether they are bad or good. She needs help but it is nobody's fault but her own. We don't know her or what she's going through and people enjoy watching other people suffer regardless of whether they have money or not. That is a bold statement that britney's problems are our fault. Are you sure about that?

i can say without a shred of guilt, that i have nothing whatsoever to do with her present situation. when you say we, i wonder if you mean americans, pop music lovers, the hoi polloi, i don't know who you mean.
ms. spears is iconic of what happens to someone ill equipped to handle the fruits of success. it's a shame that she is falling to peices at such an early age like hendrix and joplin. that is what happens to some people on such a quick rise to the top. granted, spears started as a pre-teen, but she gained huge success within i'd say the last eight years or so. it was nothing but up up up until the last couple years. now come the drop. it's much the same from coming off a high. once your back down, you need more to get that high again. odds are, she's been as high as she is going to get, and now it's nothing but drop drop drop. now divorced, her life a media circus, might lose her kids, dropping in and out of rehab clinics, these are things that people who are glued to the tabloids and ET live for. there are channels dedicated to celebs (E!), websites devoted to celebs (DMZ), mags at every checkout line are splattered with this.
here's the problem: once someone becomes a cebrity as big as britney, part of the thing sold other than her music is her privacy. was she having a problem when things were going well having a mic put in front of her? no. were her fans yelling and screaming for her attention? yes! was she giving it? yes!
now that the road is rocky, the media is following her every move. is that right? probably not. but they wouldn't be following her if she had been a bag lady. put the blame where it belongs!! put in on the media and her fickle fans. this isn't the first icon to drop like a sack of rocks, and she won't be the last. it's tragic that she is being scrutinized, but that's what happens to mega stars, and while you might be right that some people do enjoy watching others suffer, do not say it is 'us americans!'
blame it on the tabloids, the press, and like previously mentioned, blame some of it on her. she put herself where she is, hope she is strong enough to get out.

She is not the only celebrity who has endured public scrutiny. She won't be the last.
She knew the downfalls of notariety before she pushed to get in to it. She must have been willing to accept the public attention then. Unfortunately celebs don't get to pick and choose the news stories.
Like ever occupation, being a celebrity has its pitfalls. Everyone has to accept the bad with the good. She's no different than anyone else. No one gets a Teflon coating so they can be protected from life.
The smart celebs learn to handle the press. Britney didn't seem to care what the press said. She's found the error of her thinking.

Pulleeze!! That trailer Trash Wanna - Be - Skank, put herself where she is now. When she aligned herself with the likes of Queen Skank Paris Hilton, she proved that fact. She couldn't even hold onto a limp noodle like Kevin Fedderline. What she should be doing is minding her children and keeping herself strong for them. Instead, she's probably paying someone to be a mother to them so she wont have to, giving herself more time to go out drugging and partying with other celebrity druggies. She's not even that talented! Poor girl my ***! Do you see everything that way through those warped rose colored glasses? I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if all of this was a publicity stunt organized by her camp that she's simply acting on.

Did I drag her along to the Mickey Mouse Club when she was 8 years old or whatever?
Did I put a gun to her head and demand she make the single "Hit me Baby One More Time". Did I demand that she put herself out there by touring, giving interviews and making records???
She is the one who worked all those years to become the celebrity that she is. She is the one who has quite happily earned over $100 million on the back of the general public. She is the one who insisted she wanted kids "young" and now cannot look after them!!!
I am only interested in Britney Spears in as much as she is wasting my hours and minutes by appearing on tv programme after tv programme and on websites such as these.
This world is totally upside down. We care about a woman [and this is what she is] who has contributed to her OWN downfall when there are people dying in Darfur. If her life is such an absolute misery then I suggest that she give her millions to the starving around the world or better still go live with them to see what real pain and sorrow is.
I returned from Rwanda a month ago and met people who had lost every member of their family during the 1994 genocide. They were made to kill family members and family members were slaughtered before their eyes. There was no desire for pity from these people. They showed real strength and courage.
There are plenty of celebrities out there who are able to keep a low profile - e.g Jodie Foster, Reese Witherspoon, etc, etc.. they do not go around making tacky shows about their lives!! I suggest that Britney Spears drop off the face of the planet and get on with her life as I for one am not interested in the exploits of a person who has created their own misery, nor am I prepared to accept responsibility for her downfall.

Pictures are great proof!! She wanted the fame, so she needs to suck it up. Who are you?......lol a wanna Brittany? Brittany loves the attention, she has been caught in many lies, caught neglecting her child a few times, god the list can go on, she is a poor excuse for a mother and she really sickens me. I admit she needs help.

She's pathetic and talentless (well, actually, her talents have been best suited for a pole).
Anyway....how many celebrities are under the microscope of tabloids and everything else under the sun??? MANY. How many have had the total meltdown that the little twit has??? NOT MANY. These people are always in the limelight, spotlight, under the microscope, however you wish to put it. Yet so many of them manage to do just fine. She dug her own hole and gets no sympathy from me.

If anyone's to blame its the parents first, and her other family and friends. Didnt they teach their girls family values, spirituality, right and wrong, etc.
THE PARENTS: They were money hungry parents who focused themselves and their children on getting famous and rich!
THE FRIENDS: They were focused on getting all they could from Britney and her family, and could not care what troubles she was heading for or trouble she was in!
I feel sorry for her and hopes she gets help for her and her children sake - BUT - we didnt cause this - celebrities get lessons/experience on how to handle press, gossipers, rag mags and even their own family/managers......they deal with pressure on a regular basis - concerts, rehearsals, talk shows, movies and magazine articles.
Celebrity status brings all this - and if you want in - DEAL WITH IT or find someone who can do it all for you!Her Manager and Record Company "friends" could not care either way - all they want is Britneys contracted albums fulfilled.
Please girl - hardworking normal people dont have nervous breakdown when the **** hits the fan - they deal with it and they do not have millions of dollars or assistants and babysitters and the best of life - best doctors, shrinks etc.

Well, I have to agree but did you stop to think that this just may be a publicity stunt to get her stalled career back on top. She has been out of the public eye for quite some time and now has a new album coming out. She is obviously selfish or she would be putting the welfare of her kids ahead of her partying and night life. Maybe having her kids took from her might show her true colors. Is she really sick or is she faking for the publicity. I guess it is a time will tell deal. And really, there's no excuse for not wearing undies! She knew the paperazzi would be all over that.

"We" didn't cause Brittney's so called "breakdown". If in fact she really had a breakdown. It would be money and greed, that caused her so called breakdown. I think she is doing all of this so called breakdown stuff as a publicity stunt. She's all washed up. She started partying all of the time. Kevin might be to blame for her abuse of alcohol and drugs. She is the one who sold her soul to the devil, whether she pays now or later, it eventually will happen.
